生嶋 順理
Junri IKUSHIMA

1961年熊本県生まれ。1985年 東京造形大学造形学部美術学科卒業。1987年 東京芸術大学大学院美術研究科修士課程修了。現在 神奈川県在住　東京造形大学造形学部美術学科絵画専攻　教授。

張 巧君
Chou Koukun

1993 年中国湖北省生まれ。2015 年湖北美術学院版画専攻卒業。2016 年 神山財団芸術支援奨学金（日本）。現在、東京造形大学大学院美術研究領域修士1年。 90 年代の中国は一人っ子政策でした。私は子供のときから「男尊女卑」の環境で育てられ、無関心な扱いをされていました。そのような自身の経験から、私の作品は女性の身体をモチーフとし、写真や刺繍を表現の手法として制作しています。

Born in Hubei, China, 1993. Graduated Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 2015. Awarded the Kamiyama Foundation Art Support Scholarship (Japan) in 2016. Currently a first-year graduate student at Tokyo Zokei University. In the 1990s, China had a one child policy. When I was a child, I was raised in an environment where women were dominated by men, and no one took an interest in me. Based on these personal experiences, I use women’s bodies as a motif in my work, using methods of expression such as photography and embroidery.

Daniel Heyman

1963年ニューヨーク州生まれ、ロードアイランド在住。2004年よりロードアイランド・スクール・オブ・デザインにて、2010年よりプリンストン大学にて教鞭を取る。2009年グッゲンハイム・メモリアル財団フェローシップ（ファインアート部門）、ピュー・フェローシップなど多くの奨学金プログラムを授与。作品は現在個展が開かれているケイド・トプキンズ・プロジェクトで見られる。 http://www.cadetompkins.com/artists/daniel-heyman/ 作品はアメリカ国内有数の美術館、ギャラリーにて展示や収集がなされ、現在セントルイス美術館で展示中である。

Daniel Heyman (born 1963, New York), teaching since 2004 at the Rhode Island School of Design, and since 2010 at Princeton University. Heyman has received numerous awards including a Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship in Fine Arts (2009) and a Pew Fellowship. Heyman’s work is represented at Cade Tompkins Projects, http://www.cadetompkins.com/artists/daniel-heyman/ where he currently has a solo exhibition. Mr. Heyman’s work has been exhibited and collected in prestigious museums and galleries all over the United States, with work currently on show at the St. Louis Art Museum. Mr. Heyman lives with his husband in Rhode Island.

YU JIN

Joanna Cortez

1990年カリフォルニア州エクスコンディード生まれ。現在ロードアイランド・スクール・オブ・デザイン学士課程（美術）在籍中、2017年に卒業予定。リトグラフ、レリーフ、凹版印刷を学ぶためカリフォルニアからロードアイランドへと移った。現在はレリーフ製法を中心とに制作を行う。2015年、2016年には優秀な版画製作が認められG.W.ホッジ・リッチー奨学金を授与される。

Born in Excondido, California in 1990. Rhode Island School of Design 2017 BFA candidate. Moved from California to Rhode Island in order to study lithography, relief and intaglio printmaking. Current activities center on relief processes. Awards include the G.W. Hodge Ritchie Scholarship for Excellence in Printmaking in 2015 and 2016.

Vanessa Nieto Romero

1989年コロンビア ボゴタ生まれ。現在、ロードアイランド・スクール・オブ・デザインにて版画製作専攻、修士課程（美術）在籍中。2012年コロンビア国立大学にてビジュアルアーツ専攻、学士号（美術）を取得。修士課程に進む際、フルブライト奨学金を授与される。 主な活動に、2012年コロンビア国立大学の美術博物館、2015年ボゴタ現代美術館、2016年ニューヨークのギャラリーハウスなどによる展示がなされた。2016年、第２回学生アーティストブック展示会で受賞、作品はフリートライブラリーにRISD特別コレクションとして収蔵される。

「私は女性の美と政治の境界線に取り組むため、異なる媒体を試しています。作品では、西洋文化における美という概念が、特に私自身の母国でいかに暴力へと結びついてきたのかを問いかけます。私はインスタレーション、彫刻、ドローイングといった異なる言語を取り入れていますが、印を残すという行為と暴力との関係性に取り組むという、印刷技術が提供する本質的な特徴に興味の中心があります。印を受け取る媒体としての紙の物質性と紙型の物性に興味があるのです」

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, 1989. Currently, she is a MFA candidate in Printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She earned her BFA in Visual Arts in 2012, from National University of Colombia. In 2015, she was awarded with a Fulbright grant to pursue her Master’s degree. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at The Museum of Art at National University of Colombia (2012), The Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogotá (2015) and Gallery House in New York (2016). In 2016, Vanessa was awarded The Second Annual Student Artist’s book exhibition, and her work were acquired as part of the RISD Special Collections from the Fleet Library.

“I explore different media to address the borders between feminine beauty and politics. My work questions how conceptions of beauty in Western culture have led to violence, particularly in my home country. Although I incorporate different languages such as installation, sculpture and drawing, there is a central interest about the intrinsic characteristics that printmaking techniques offer to address the act of leaving marks and its relation to violence. Therefore, I am interested about the materiality of paper as a receiver of marks and the physicality of the matrix.”

Wei-Ming Leong

M. Benjamin Herndon

1985年北カリフォルニア山脈生まれ。2012年ニューヨーク・シティーのスクール・オブ・ビジュアル・アーツの学士号（美術）取得。2016年ロードアイランド・スクール・オブ・デザインにて修士号（美術）取得。同年バーモント・スタジオ・センターおよびジョセフ・アンド・アニ・アルバーズ財団のレジデンスプログラムに合格する。 主なグループ展に、2016年「New Contemporaries」（ロードアイランド州プロビンス）、ハイポイント・センターにて「Stand Out Prints」（ミネソタ州ミネアポリス）、インターナショナル・プリント・センター・ニューヨークにて「New Prints/Winter」（ニューヨーク・シティー）、ジャージーシティー美術館にて「Vanishing Point」（ニュージャージー州）がある。

Born in the mountains of Northern California in 1985. Graduated in 2012 with BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and received MFA in 2016 from Rhode Island School of Design. Awarded residencies in 2016 at the Vermont Studio Center and the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation.

Tracy Liu

1988年中国南京生まれ。2010年カリフォルニア州カリフォルニア大学バークレー校にて学士（理学）取得。現在ニュージャージー州プリンストン大学にてデイビッド・マクミラン教授の下で博士課程に在籍、有機合成方法論の展開を研究中。 阿波紙と版表現展が初の展示となる。

Born: Nanjin, China in 1988. 'Graduated from University of California, Berkeley in California with a B.S. in Chemistry in 2010. Currently a Ph.D candidate with Professor David MacMillan at Princeton University in New Jersey working in synthetic organic methodology development. Awagami Paper Show is first exhibition.’

Siyu Chen

1996年中国上海生まれ。現在ロードアイランド・スクール・オブ・デザイン（アメリカ）のペインティング専攻で学士課程（美術）在籍。RISDではリトグラフ、日本の木版画、レリーフ印刷を学ぶ。

Born in Shanghai, China, 1996. Currently a student pursuing a BFA in Painting at Rhode Island School of Design (USA). Studied lithography, Japanese woodblock printing and relief printing at RISD.

Willa McDonald

1994年アメリカ テキサス州サンアントニオ生まれ。ロードアイランド・スクール・オブ・デザインにてプリントメイキングを勉強中、2017年学士号（美術）取得予定。 主な個展・グループ展に2013年テキサス州サンアントニオのハルシオンサウスタウンや、2014年-2016年ロードアイランド州プロビデンスRISD内ベンソンギャラリーでの展示がある。2015年ニューヨーク州ニューヨークのRareCandy Music + Visual Culture Magazineの10-11月特集アーティストに選ばれた。

Born in San Antonio, Texas (USA), 1994. Studying Printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design with an anticipated Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2017. Major solo and group exhibitions include shows in the Benson Gallery at RISD, Providence, Rhode Island (2014-2016), and at Halcyon Southtown in San Antonio, Texas (2013).
